Bio

I am Daphne Coleman McClendon. I grew up in Smiths, Alabama. I graduated from Smiths Station High School in 1992. I then went on to attend Troy (State) University, graduating in 1996. There I met my wonderful husband, Walter McClendon, Jr. of Eufaula, Alabama. We have been married for 16 years. We have been living in the Prattville / Millbrook area for ten years.

We have two children, Maddison and Skylar.  Our family also has two special pups, Dauby and Dallas. Between the dogs and the girls there is never a dull moment in our house.

When I have free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and spending time with my family. My girls and I enjoy playing "Just Dance" as well. Our family loves Alabama Football. ROLLLLLL TIDE!

This is my tenth year in  Elmore County and my seventh as Reading Coach/ Instructional Coach.  I enjoy the opportunity to work with such a fantastic group of teachers, providing them support for instruction in their classrooms. Seeing the students each day and watching their progress is also a special delight.

This is my 22nd year in education.   I am  looking forward to another great year at Airport Road Intermediate School!
