Subjects Taught
Fourth Grade

I attended Auburn University where I received bachelors degrees in Early Childhood Education and Family and Child Development. I then attended Berry College in Rome, GA where I received a masters degree in Elementary Education. Since completing my masters, I have expanded my certification by adding Secondary English Language Arts.

I began my career in Georgia where I spent four years teaching kindergarten and first grade. I started teaching in Elmore county in 1999.  For seven years, I taught sixth grade at Millbrook Middle School. Then I moved to Stanhope Elmore High School and taught reading and core English for five years. For two years, I taught part time (at Stanhope Elmore) and prepared students for the Alabama High School Graduation Exam. After those two years, I decided to return to teaching full time. I was thrilled to be able to get back in the Millbrook community. This is my fifth year teaching fourth grade at Airport Road Intermediate School.

I was born in Birmingham but moved to Montgomery just in time to start first grade. I graduated from Jeff Davis and then attended Auburn University and Berry College. I am married to Anthony, who works at Huntingdon College - so there is a lot of 'school talk' around our house. We have one perfectly, precious daughter, Carey Mae, and we  have two sweet and super energetic dogs, Lolly and Punkin. When I have a few spare minutes, I enjoy working out, reading, and cooking.
