Para-Professional

Hi,

My name is Priscilla Ward.  I am an Intervention Paraprofessional at ARIS.  I have worked for the Elmore County school system for 15 years.  I started out as a volunteer worker, then as a substitute teacher for a couple of months.

I've been married to my husband Melvin for almost 32 years.  Out of our marriage we are blessed with two daughters, Timmika and Chelsea.  Timmika is a graduate of Troy University. Chelsea is taking a break from the college life at Troy University.

I love working with the kids.  Being in the educational system, you want to see them (students) advance to the next level of their lives.  It is a joy to know that they have succeeded in their thirst for knowledge.

I love to read when I have the time, especially love stories.  Sewing is something that I like also, I just don't get to do it a lot.  There's one more thing and that is cooking.  I like making cakes, I have a few favorites, that are likeable by friends and family.

My prayers and blessing goes out to the school year.

**Loving a child doesn't mean giving in to all his whims; to love him is to   bring out the best in him, to teach him is to love what is difficult.
